WebService

Bluebirds WebService is a secure, central hub that accepts clinical data from multiple sources (labs, radiologists, referring and consulting doctors) organizes that information, and then makes it available to Bluebird doctors.
(More than 80% of South African labs and more than 3000 private doctors are Bluebird enabled).

Access to your data is either via a secure web site (the Internet banking model) or by securely retrieving data to your own computer (after which you are responsible for the confidentiality of that data).
Bluebirds WebService is the only service in South Africa that allows you to review and store all your clinical information (labs, XR, referrals and consults) in one secure place.

You save money (storage costs and time wasted filing and retrieving reports especially mis-filed paper reports!).

Pricing

The WebService is free to doctors and is funded by service providers such as labs and radiologists paying a small fee (typically 1% of the medical aid rate paid for the test) to send you clinical data.

What about XR images?

In our quest for continual improvement, Bluebird has added
live access to radiology images to the Bluebird webservice.

This service, called BLACKBIRD, is part of our complete radiology solution, a solution designed to give referring doctors optimal service from their radiologist.

When logged onto the Bluebird webservice, please click the BLACKBIRD button on the right hand side of the page where you read your Bluebird reports.

This service is now available to your favourite radiologist, either as an inexpensive add on to their current system or as a complete radiology solution. Please ask them to email radiology@bluebird.co.za to get activated.
